Ludwig II

Ludwig II, el constructor de castillos, el patrón de las artes, el homosexual: el loco. Poco antes del final de siglo, durante el siglo positivista, en el siglo romántico, hubo en rey en Bavaria, el último que la gobernó como estado independiente. Ludwig II. von Bayern fue famoso por construir castillos (der Märchenkönig, lo llamaban), por su afición a las artes (especialmente a Wagner, quien no habría podido componer Parsifal o Der Ring des Nibelungen sin el apoyo del joven monarca), por su irredenta indisposición al matrimonio y su excéntrico gusto por el estilo de los dandies (a los que se tachaba de sodomitas y degenerados).
Poco tiempo después de perder que le quitaran el poder, Ludwig fue asesinado, una tarde de verano a la orilla del Lago Starnberger junto con su siquiatra Bernhard von Gudden.

Ludwig II. von Bayern was famous for building castles (he was called der Märchenkönig), for his love to the arts (specially Wagner whose last operas, Parsifal or Der Ring des Nibelungen wouldn't have been possible without his monetary help), for his aversion towards marriage and his excentric taste for dandies (they were considered sodomites and degenerates)
Shortly after his deposition he was murdered and found one summer afternoon in the margins of Starnberger lake, next to his psychiatrist Bernhard von Gudden.
