En Estados Unidos existe una ley que prohíbe a las personas con un cargo militar el mencionar cualquier cosa sobre su vida homosexual. Los dos términos se refieren a la interacción entre ellos: Don’t ask (no preguntes): ningún superior podrá iniciar investigaciones cuando no exista un comportamiento prohibido; don’t tell (no digas): ningún militar podrá mencionar su actividad homosexual. El tema se ha estado discutiendo con la expectativa de un cambio de ley. Esperemos que suceda porque nos encantaría verlos sin inhibiciones.

There's a law that prohibits individuals serving the military to mention anything about their homosexual life. Both parts specify the interaction between them: Don’t ask: superiors shouldn’t initiate investigations of the homosexual life of others as long as they don’t show any prohibited behavior; don’t tell: any service man can speak openly about his homosexual life. Lately, this topic has been discussed expecting a change in law. We hope this happens because we surely want to see them with no inhibitions.
